At Bhava Yoga, we strive to provide a high quality yoga education and support you on the journey inward. Our foundational 200-hour training is informative, dynamic and curated to inform students on the many facets of yoga. This progressive curriculum includes asana (posture) study including alignment and biomechanics of poses to help you enhance your own personal practice. Explore the realms of teaching yoga with sessions on intelligent class sequencing, planning for class, the seat of the teacher and much more. Dive into the philosophy and history of Yoga that has shaped the practice as we know it today. Finally, explore the foundations of anatomy and physiology, how it applies to yoga practice and so much more!

Our comprehensive program will awaken your appetite for the vast and ever-evolving study of yoga and self-evolution.

Amplify your personal practice, learn to teach yoga, or re-ignite your current yoga education. This program is designed for dedicated students of yoga, those in pursuit of teaching, and those who already teach that have an appetite to enhance and hone their skills.

In-depth study of yoga asana (postures), including alignment principles, modifications + more
Functional anatomy and physiology
The science of sequencing
The art of teaching yoga
Discovering voice and building confidence through practice teaching
Elements of the subtle body
Introduction to meditation

Use of props to support and enhance the practice of yoga

Training Hours:
Fridays 8am-6pm
Saturdays 10am-8pm
Sundays 8am-6pm

Tuition:
$2700 ($3000 after January 21st, 2020)

A $500 non-refundable deposit is due upon sign-up. This will be applied to your final balance. Final balance is due no later than April 17th, 2020.

NEW! Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Julia Clarke

April 3-5, 2020

Join Julia Clarke, author of Restorative Yoga for Beginners, for this rewarding weekend immersion into the art and skill of guiding the collective in Restorative Yoga. Restorative Yoga is a deeply therapeutic practice in which the practitioner engages in intentional rest, sustained in reclining postures, to regenerate and rejuvenate today’s stressed body-mind complex. You will learn how to sequence your Restorative classes for optimal flow and minimal turbulence and how to create and weave thoughtfully chosen meditations and imagery through your classes to inspire self-care. You will leave ready to teach Restorative Yoga in a class or private setting, with an integrated understanding of how this healing modality functions to combat stress and fatigue.

Anatomy, physiology and energetics of Restorative Yoga
Creating and guiding an effective Restorative Yoga sequence
Using props to facilitate deep relaxation
Understanding the Nervous System’s role in stress response
Create and guide artful meditations to nourish the mind and Nervous System
Appropriate pranayama for a restful practice
Ideal for current and aspiring yoga teachers, and passionate practitioners who recognize the importance of Yoga’s more lunar aspects and practices. 20 CE hours.

About Julia:

Julia Clarke is a yoga teacher, author and Ayurvedic practitioner from Scotland living in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. She is the author of Restorative Yoga for Beginners: Gentle Poses for Relaxation and Healing and co-founder of Mountain Soul Yoga in Edwards CO. Her creative and passionate teaching weaves her deep connection with nature and her love of Ayurveda through dynamic and powerful Vinyasa Flow, contemplative Yin Yoga and thoughtful Restorative Yoga.
