How and when did your Yoga journey begin?

My yoga journey began at the age of 15 in a tiny Bikram studio in Denver. At the time, this was hot, sweaty, challenging perfection; just what I needed as I moved day to day  juggling school, cross country running and lacrosse practices. I was yearning balance. Yoga was my outlet to heal my physical body, while also giving myself the time and space to quiet my mind. The feeling of walking into the studio, seeing the other practitioners who had grown to feel like family, the breath, the movement, and yes, the Savasana were all factors that guided me to the practice I have today.

What do you love most about teaching Yoga?

I love connecting with my students. I can see the mental and physical transformations in students from one class to the next.

What style of Yoga do you most often teach?

I teach mostly vinyasa and power flow classes. I love the constant reminders to link breath and movement.

What does your personal Yoga practice look like?

My personal practice at home is slow. I need the dedicated time and space in my day to slow down, reflect and breathe.

Who are your biggest Yoga inspirations?

I really enjoy learning from Tiffany Cruickshank who weaves a lot of anatomy into her offerings as well has Meghan Currie who create CHALLENGING, yet fluid and organic shapes.

Three words to describe your classes:

Intentional, Consistent, Challenging
